A French research group has compared the performance ratio of 100 PV systems relying on micro-inverters with that of 100 installations relying on string/central inverters. It found the performance ratio is around 79% for both system typologies and that arrays with micro-inverters are more sensitive to environmental factors.
Pyramid Electronics has unveiled three-phase string solar inverters based on silicon carbide power devices. The inverters are available in power ratings ranging from 5 kW to 15 kW, including models with three maximum power point trackers.
The 200-acre solar plant is located in the Kheragarh district of Agra. It benefits from a 25-year, fixed-tariff power purchase agreement with Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited.
The sheer volume of new power lines which will be required to accommodate the rising tide of solar installations ensures copper has been included by the International Energy Agency on its list of minerals which must keep flowing if the energy transition is to stay on course. And it’s not production that’s the potential bottleneck.
The Chinese manufacturer, which has a central and string inverter factory in Bengaluru, sold a minimum 3 GW of the cumulative sales last year alone. Going forward, it has a strong order book for the upcoming solar capacity too.
The wall-mount charger with a high power output of 22 KW AC maximum reduces electric vehicle charging time by up to 70% in comparison to common 7KW AC chargers. The 125 KW string inverter—a cloud-connected three-phase solution—enables cost-efficient decentralized photovoltaic systems for both ground-mounted and large commercial applications.
Bids are invited to set up 370 KWp of grid-connected rooftop solar plants at various government buildings in Ajmer district of Rajasthan. Bidding closes on August 29. Bids will open the following day.
State-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has invited bids for supply, installation and commissioning of grid-connected solar rooftop PV plants of cumulative capacity 170 KWp at four locations in Haryana. The projects would be awarded through bidding followed by reverse auction. The last date for bid submission is May 10.
The 300 MW solar plant at the Pavagada Solar Park, located in Tumkur district of Karnataka, is ReNew Power’s largest solar plant commissioned in terms of capacity till date. It is said to be the first utility-scale solar plant in India to use high-efficiency mono PERC solar modules.
