Solar Energy Corp. of India (SECI) is accepting bids to set up 125 MW/ 500 MWh of battery energy storage system in Kerala, for “on demand” usage by Kerala State Electricity Board Ltd (KSEBL). The project will be supported with viability gap funding. Bidding closes on Feb. 6.
Acme Solar has switched on four co-located solar projects aggregating to 1,023 MW AC (1,483 MWp) in Rajasthan. The capacity, connected to the interstate transmission system, constitutes 85% of the overall 1.2 GW project that benefits from a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with SECI at a tariff of INR 2.44/kWh.
This is India’s single largest project of solar and battery storage system.

ReNew has commissioned 750 MW of its 1 GW solar project in Rajasthan. The project utilises solar panels manufactured by ReNew entirely in India.
Solar Energy Corp. of India Ltd (SECI) has withdrawn the debarment notice issued to Reliance Power with immediate effect. Accordingly, the Company and its subsidiaries, except Reliance NU BESS Ltd (formerly known as Maharashtra Energy Generation Limited), are eligible to participate in all tenders issued by SECI.
Adani Green Energy Ltd has clarified that its directors, namely, Gautam Adani, Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain have not been charged with violations of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) in the indictment by US prosecutors in an alleged solar-related bribery case.
