Kerala launches 125 MW/500 MWh battery storage tender

Solar Energy Corp. of India (SECI) is accepting bids to set up 125 MW/ 500 MWh of battery energy storage system in Kerala, for “on demand” usage by Kerala State Electricity Board Ltd (KSEBL). The project will be supported with viability gap funding. Bidding closes on Feb. 6.

Acme Solar commissions 1,483 MWp in Rajasthan

Acme Solar has switched on four co-located solar projects aggregating to 1,023 MW AC (1,483 MWp) in Rajasthan. The capacity, connected to the interstate transmission system, constitutes 85% of the overall 1.2 GW project that benefits from a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with SECI at a tariff of INR 2.44/kWh.

NTPC Renewable Energy wins 500 MW solar in SECI auction

NTPC Renewable Energy has secured 500 MW of solar power capacity at a tariff of INR 3.52/kWh. As per the terms of the tender, the company is required to set up 250 MW/1,000 MWh of energy storage system along with the contracted solar capacity

Reliance Power has secured the biggest slice of 930 MW. Other winners include NTPC Green Energy Ltd (500 MW), Hero Solar (270 MW), Sembcorp (150 MW) and Solarcraft (150 MW).
