Indian solar market leaders in 2021

ReNew Power was the top utility-scale solar developer in 2021, commissioning the largest amount of capacity. Tata Power Solar led in rooftop solar installations, accounting for 20% of total annual additions.

The second quarterly (April-May-June) addition of 521 MW is India’s highest-ever rooftop solar capacity installed in a quarter.

Big dip in import and export of solar modules and cells

A flying start to the year saw huge volumes of solar cells and modules imported to India but the scale and value of such products fell over the remainder of 2018 and export figures mirrored that trend.
