Vikram Solar has unveiled new mono PERC bifacial modules with front-side power outputs from 635 W to 660 W and front-side efficiencies ranging between 20.38% and 21.18%, respectively. The modules feature glass-to-glass construction and provide up to 25% bifacial gain.

The Indian solar manufacturer’s new facility in Haryana is equipped to make mono PERC, half-cut, multi-busbar technology, to produce high-efficiency PV modules with 530-610Wp of power output.

German solar manufacturer Axitec has revealed plans to start selling its new half-cut PV modules from the second quarter. It manufactures the panels with 182 mm wafers.

The Chinese module maker will supply Adani Green Energy with 1.2 GW of Hi MO4 bifacial modules that offer cell efficiency reaching 22.5% and module power peaking at 430W (72 cells).

Annual solar installations grew almost 20% year over year in 2017, and the solar industry is also edging within 100 gigawatts, a milestone the industry will reach this year, according to IHS Markit, a world leader in critical information, analytics and solutions.
