ACME Solar Holdings Ltd has announced that its 300 MW Sikar Solar Project in Rajasthan is now fully operational, following the commissioning of the final 60 MW capacity yesterday.

NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC REL) has extended the bidding deadline for the EPC contract of a 250 MW grid-connected solar project in Rajasthan’s Bikaner district. Bids can now be submitted until July 15.
The joint venture company, CIL Rajasthan Akshay Urja Ltd, will develop, construct, and operate solar, wind, pumped storage, and other renewable energy projects. The power generated will be sold to Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd under Section 62 of the Electricity Act, 2003, or to other eligible entities.
The latest addition takes Sikar solar project’s total commissioned capacity to 240 MW out of a planned 300 MW.
The 193 MW addition follows the commissioning of 245 MW of the 735 MW Nokh Solar PV project in March this year.
The solar asset, Renew Solar Aayan Pvt Ltd (RSAPL), has been operational since March 2024 and benefits from a long-term 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corp of India (SECI) at a fixed tariff of INR 2.37 per kWh.
