Norfund, KLP to buy 49% in Enel’s 420 MW solar project 

The Norwegian Climate Investment Fund, managed by Norfund, and KLP, Norway’s largest pension company, have signed a deal to raise a 49% stake in a 420 MW solar power plant in India developed by Italy’s Enel Green Power. 

REC to showcase new Alpha Pure-R solar panels at REI

REC, a Norwegian solar panel specialist, will exhibit the latest module in its award-winning REC Alpha line at the Renewable Energy India (REI) exhibition in September. Acme, Scatec sign green ammonia sale agreement with Yara

Norway’s Yara International has agreed to buy 100,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually from Phase 1 of Acme and Scatec’s Omani project.

Norwegian renewable energy developer Statkraft has partnered Norway’s green investment company Aker Horizons to explore fully-integrated renewable power generation and green hydrogen production in India, targeting local steel and fertilizer industries.

Scatec joins scaled up Omani green ammonia project

A previous announcement by Acme indicated the port site would be able to produce around 876,000 tons of the green fuel per year but the Indian developer today said that figure would be 1.2 million tons. The 100,000-ton-per-year first phase of the facility may be operational this year.

Scatec and Acme put their 900 MW Rajasthan solar project on hold

Norway’s Scatec, which has a 50% stake in Acme’s 900 MW solar project in Rajasthan, cited a lack of domestic solar panel supply and the 40% import duty on solar panels effective from April as the reasons for putting the PV project on hold.

L&T and Norway’s HydrogenPro to set up electrolyzer gigafab in India

Larsen & Toubro (L&T), an Indian multinational EPC contractor, has partnered with Norway’s HydrogenPro to set up a joint venture in India for gigawatt-scale manufacturing of alkaline water electrolyzers. 

Reliance Industries acquires 100% stake in REC Group, plans new manufacturing bases

India headquartered multinational Reliance Industries, through its subsidiary Reliance New Energy Solar Limited, yesterday announced the acquisition of Norway headquartered module manufacturer REC Group. The move comes as Reliance pushes forward with its US$10 billion plan to move in on the renewable energy industry, having also this week announced acquisition of a 40% share in EPC provider Sterling & Wilson.

Ayana Renewable partners Norway’s Greenstat on India’s hydrogen mission

The Bengaluru-based solar and wind energy developer has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Greenstat Hydrogen India to collaborate on developing projects for green hydrogen production in India.
