Adani Green Energy Ltd has operationalized the first 551 MW solar capacity of the planned 30 GW renewable energy park at Khavda, Gujarat, by supplying power to the national grid.  

Avaada Energy, an arm of Avaada Group, announced today it has secured around 1.4 GWp of solar energy projects in recent auctions by central and state government agencies in India.

Torrent Power will develop 150 MW of solar projects for supply of power to the seawater desalination plants being set up by Shapoorji Pallonji and Company in Gujarat.

Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) has launched a tender to procure 1,125 MW of solar power from PV projects to be set up in GSECL’s RE Park at Khavda. Bids can be submitted until Feb. 15.

The skill development programs, launched in Gujarat, will impart extensive training on the installation and operation of utility-scale solar and wind power plants, fostering entrepreneurship and employability.

SJVN has secured a 100 MW solar power project from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL). It will develop the project on a build-own-operate basis in Gujarat and sell the generated power to GUVNL under a 25-year power purchase agreement.

Juniper Green Energy and KPI Green have emerged winners in Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd’s tender for 500 MW of grid-connected wind-solar hybrid projects. They secured 150 MW and 50 MW capacities, respectively.

Pixon Green Energy is expanding its solar module manufacturing capacity to 2 GW per year by adding a 1 GW unit with backward integration into 1 GW of cell manufacturing.

Torrent Power will develop 3,450 MW of solar power projects, 1,045 MW of hybrid power projects, and the solar park infrastructure for a 7 GW solar power project in Gujarat. It will also set up a 100 ktpa green hydrogen/green ammonia production facility in the state.

Avaada Group has signed an agreement with the government of Gujarat to develop 6 GW of hybrid wind-solar projects with an investment of INR 40,000 crore.
