Waaree Transpower, an arm of Waaree Energies Ltd, has unveiled Inverter Duty Transformers (IDTs) for a broad spectrum of users from utility-scale solar plants to industrial captive units and smart grid operators. The company said these IDTs are engineered to ensure seamless, efficient power transmission across India’s fast-evolving energy landscape.
“The launch of our Inverter Duty Transformers reflects our drive to set industry benchmarks in performance, reliability, and manufacturing excellence,” said Viren Doshi, Director, Waaree. “With advanced testing, robust design, and market-leading capacity, these transformers will accelerate efficient renewable power deployment nationwide.”
Waaree Transpower operates a dedicated IDT facility, equipped with a digital testing lab. The company said its 17.6 MVA, 4x660V/33 kV, 05 winding aluminium-wound IDT is fully type-tested at CPRI, with copper-wound variants also available.
Built to handle inverter switching frequencies and harmonic distortion, IDTs provide exceptional voltage step-up capability, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient power evacuation from solar fields to the grid- a crucial enabler for India’s renewable energy expansion.
