In a significant move to improve the power system in India, Sharika Enterprises Limited, working in the field of Digitalization of Energy & Infra in India, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Russian Engineering powerhouse Engineering Center Energoservice (ENS).

A frontrunner in advanced power system measuring, monitoring and automation solutions, ENS jointly with Sharika Enterprises is all set to be instrumental in enhancing the reliability and safety of electrical grids in India. The MoU is aimed at cooperation in power system monitoring solutions in India and provides Sharika Enterprises with the exclusive right to market and distribute ENS’s cutting-edge grid protection and condition monitoring solutions, including transformers throughout the country.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Rajinder Kaul, Chairman and Managing Director of Sharika Enterprises said, “We are honoured to collaborate with Engineering Center Energoservice, a digital power technologies leader and this partnership is a major milestone in our quest to upgrade India’s power grid infrastructure. Together, we look forward to introduce innovative technologies in India and provide an efficient, sustainable and dependable power system benefitting the industries across the spectrum.”

ENS’s transformer condition monitoring systems use synchrophasor measurements to monitor and ensure the health of power transformers. The ENS systems offer real-time data and analytics that help minimise operational risks and avoid expensive downtimes in power grids. The collaboration aims to make grid reliability and performance better in India.

Fleyshman Igor L., General Director at Engineering Center Energoservice added, “We look forward to co-operating with Sharika Enterprises, which is well-acquainted with and experienced in the Indian power sector. Sharika’s proven experience in the Indian market and familiarisation with Indian requirements makes it an optimum fit as a business partner for us. Together we aim to build robust power grid in India and meet the country’s energy efficiency initiatives.”

A prime product of this partnership is the Intelligent Digital Device (ENIP-2) and its modules. All these products are intended for measurement, time synchronisation, display, input-output and communication. The MoU was signed officially between Sharika Enterprises and ENS in the presence of both companies’ senior representatives.

The partnership is also extended to Wide Area Monitoring Systems (WAMS), stabilising power grids through synchronized Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs) and real-time monitoring units (RTUs). Sharika Enterprises has already started discussions with ENS for setting up a manufacturing plant in India. The project may take shape either under technology transfer or as a joint venture. It will facilitate the localisation of ENS’s cutting-edge products aligning with the ‘Make in India’ initiative and also make these leading-edge digital power solutions available to Indian utilities at a reduced cost.

President Vladimir Putin’s recent visit to India adds its own relevance to this collaboration. It underlines the kind of cooperation both countries are trying to build in areas where technology and infrastructure overlap. Sharika’s work with Engineering Center Energoservice (ENS) fits naturally into that effort. The two organisations have been working steadily on digital power systems, grid automation and modern monitoring tools.

While the visit highlights the relationship at a diplomatic level, Sharika’s contribution is practical, bringing these technologies into actual use within India’s power sector. For India’s power sector, this partnership is a step in the right direction. The solutions coming in through ENS will help utilities handle outages better, especially during the summer months when the grid usually struggles the most.

With demand rising quickly all across the country, many networks are struggling to keep pace. It is through this collaboration, Sharika aims to support a smoother transition to modern and digitally managed systems with aim to help utilities operate with fewer breakdowns and better reliability. The alliance also reflects Sharika’s continued commitment to building a stronger and more responsive power system for the future.

While national leaders work at the diplomatic level, Sharika is contributing on the ground, helping bring practical Russian innovations into India’s evolving power network and adding substance to this growing cooperation. India’s power demand is increasing rapidly, but large sections of the grid still depend on equipment that has been in service for decades.
