The IRENA Coalition for Action forms a key international network to discuss industry trends, determine actions, share knowledge and exchange best practices with the vision to drive the global energy transition in line with the Sustainable Development Goal on energy. Its mission is to convene a global dialogue amongst non-governmental and governmental stakeholders to develop actions to increasing the share of renewables in the global energy mix.

Today, the Coalition brings together over 90 leading renewable energy players including private sector companies, industry associations, civil society, research institutes and intergovernmental organisations.

The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) has 185 member countries to cooperate for the growth of renewable energy.

Significantly, NSEFI chairman Pranav Mehta, who is also the Chairman of Washington-headquartered Global Solar Council, is the member of 7-member steering committee at IRENA which oversees the functioning of all subgroups and their working.

In another significant achievement this year, NSEFI signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Brussels-based trade association SolarPower Europe to strengthen cooperation and explore new business opportunities for solar companies in the European and Indian solar market.
