A solar power plant is an important long-term investment for a customer. And insuring it against unforeseen calamities and accidents is equally important as well.
But getting insurance for a single residential power plant is a challenge in itself for the owner, given the still low penetration of residential solar roof top plants.
Consider the number of cars in a city and consider the number of power plants in the same city. The difference in numbers is huge. Insurance providers look at the economic feasibility before covering anything under insurance.
