Aimed at driving India’s ambitious National Energy Storage Mission, Energy Storage India (ESI) 2019 is scheduled from January 10 and 11, 2019 in New Delhi. Suresh Prabhu, Minister for Industry and Commerce, is the keynote speaker at Make in India session.

ESI 2019 is all set to become the power house of renewable energy integration and energy storage in the presence of eminent industry leaders, think tanks, scholars and policy makers including R.K. Singh (Minister of State, Ministry of Power, New & Renewable Energy, Govt of India), Anand Kumar (Secretary, MNRE), Amitabh Kant (Chief Executive Officer, NITI Aayog), Ajay Kumar Bhalla (Secretary, Ministry of Power), Upendra Tripathy (Director General-International Solar Alliance), P.K. Pujari (Chairman, Central Electricity Regulatory Commission), and Pranav Mehta (Chairman, Global Solar Council and National Solar Energy Federation of India) to name a few.

ESI will also host the 3rd IESA Industry Excellence Awards recognizing the best in energy storage, electric vehicle and microgrid industry. IESA members will get a chance to be part of B2B meetings and access the deal room so as to explore newer partnership avenues. Three parallel energy storage workshops will allow delegates to get hands on experience on various technicalities and will provide in-depth understanding of advanced technologies and solutions.

Addressing the significance of ESI 2019 in driving India’s renewable energy, electric vehicles and energy storage mission, Dr Rahul Walawalkar, Founder & Executive Director, India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) said, “During 2018, IESA was successful in shaping the vision of making India a global hub for R&D manufacturing of advanced energy storage and EVs. The year 2019 is going to be a landmark in energy storage as we expect National Energy Storage Mission to be announced soon as announced by the Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji on October 2, 2018. We are confident that ESI 2019 will become a gala platform for exploring newer avenues, thought exchange and developing effective roadmaps for advanced energy storage technologies. During ESI 2019, we look forward to forging stronger relationships with various stakeholders for addressing the growing needs of India’s electric grid and electric transportation sector.”

Organised annually by India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), ESI is hosted by Customized Energy Solutions and Messe Dusseldorf India.
