Exolar Energy, one of the fastest growing solar energy startups in Delhi NCR, has recently installed a 40 kWp rooftop solar power plant. The solar power plant is developed at Baba Haridas Salvas Hospital located in Haibatpura Najafgarh, New Delhi.

The installation by Exolar Energy has made a big step forward in the hospital’s energy independence and eco-friendly practices. The system consists of high-efficiency Vikram Solar TOPCON N-Type Non-DCR panels and Havells string inverters and is expected to generate over 10,000 units each year which will reduce 9.2 metric tons of CO₂ emissions thus it can be equated with the act of planting more than 400 trees every year.

The project is a net-metered operation and is connected to the BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) grid which grants the hospital to receive INR 1 per unit (kWh) under the Generation-Based Incentive (GBI) program. By virtue of the 4.5-5 years payback forecast, the project is environmentally and economically beneficial, since it reduces the cost of operation and provides a reliable source of energy for the very important healthcare services.

Speaking on the installation, a spokesperson from Baba Haridas Salvas Hospital, said, “healthcare has always been dependent on reliable energy sources. By collaborating with Exolar Energy, we’ve taken a major step towards sustainability while securing continuous operation of the Hospital. The experience of working with the team at Exolar was seamless and easy. This solar project is a statement of our commitment not only to our patients but also to the environment.”

Girish Maurya, Project Head of Exolar Energy, added, “Healthcare institutions play a vital role in India’s sustainability mission. Baba Haridas Salvas Hospital going solar is the first step to setting a trend for others, showing that renewable energy is not only a viable option for commercial or industrial usage but also for critical sectors like healthcare. We thank the team at Baba Haridas Salvas Hospital for trusting us and giving us an opportunity to be associated with them to promote the cause.”

The project is a testament to Exolar Energy’s promise to provide the institutions with clean energy solutions that are dependable, economical, and eco-friendly. With the country almost reaching its renewable energy goals in no time, these projects that put the community first have shown that the marriage of localized innovation with green adoption can set a sustainable path for the future.
