Maharashtra State Power Generation Co. Ltd. (MSPGCL) has tendered the EPC package with land for 600 MW(AC) of grid-connected ground-mounted solar PV projects.

Presently, the combined solar capacity installed by leading coal companies stands at around 1.7 GW, supplemented by an additional 51 MW from wind mills.

The winning developers will set up renewable energy projects backed with energy storage system to supply firm and dispatchable RE power in a demand-following manner.

Tata Power Solar Systems has commissioned a 100 MW solar PV plant coupled with a 120 MWh utility-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. The BESS for the project was supplied by Tata AutoComp Systems.

SJVN Green Energy Ltd (SGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN, has signed a 500 MW solar power usage agreement and a 100 MW solar power purchase agreement with Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Ltd.
