Tata Power secures Letter of Award for 200 MW renewables, storage project

Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd will develop a hybrid power plant comprising solar, wind, and battery storage components to ensure 200 MW of firm and dispatchable renewable power supply. The project has been awarded by SJVN.

Engie starts construction of 400 MW solar PV plant in Gujarat  

Engie secured the 400 MW solar project through competitive bidding in an auction by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL). The project is set for commissioning by the second quarter of 2024.

Waaree to supply 1.5 GW of TOPCon solar modules for Acciona’s projects in USA

Waaree Energies has signed a three-year deal with Spanish developer Acciona to supply 1.5 GW of TOPCon solar modules for Acciona’s PV installations in the United States from 2024 to 2026. The contract follows Waaree’s latest 850 MW mono PERC shipment to Acciona’s four projects in the US.

India added 8.5 GW of solar in first nine months of 2023

India’s solar installations for the Jan-Sept period in 2023 stood at 8.5 GW, 25% less year-on-year. The nation is expected to install an overall 11 GW in the current calendar year.

Israel to build energy communities in villages destroyed by Hamas

Israel’s Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure says it is currently developing a multi-year program for communities attacked by Hamas on Oct. 7. It aims to deploy 5 GW of energy in the destroyed areas, once residents return.
