India’s largest floating solar power plant to go online by June

The 100 MW facility in the Indian State of Telangana is owned by NTPC. It is being built upon the Sri Ram Sagar Project reservoir that meets the NTPC Ramagundam thermal power station’s water requirements.

Solar power developers have until March 15 to lodge interest for setting up the 15 MW solar PV project in the district Bilaspur of Himachal Pradesh.

NHDC tenders 25 MW floating solar EPC work in Madhya Pradesh

The project—to be set up in captive mode—will come up at Omkareshwar reservoir as two units of 13 MW and 12 MW capacity. The generated power will be used, through Narmada Valley Development Authority, for pumps of various irrigation and multipurpose projects.

Coal miner Singareni Collieries mulling 300 MW floating solar

The floating solar capacity will come upon the reservoir of Manair Dam in Telangana and will be in addition to 300 MW PV plants being set up at the company areas.

Bidding extended for 15 MW floating solar project in Himachal Pradesh

Solar power developers have until February 15 to lodge interest for setting up the 15 MW solar PV project in the district Bilaspur of Himachal Pradesh. The maximum levelized tariff payable to the project developer is fixed at INR 3.41/kWh for 25 years.

A study has analyzed the technical and financial feasibility of floating solar at hydro power plants. The report concludes floating PV reduces evaporation from hydropower reservoirs and the water saved can be used to generate more electricity.
