Shell Energy India has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government to invest INR 3,000 crore ($363.24 million) in building a renewable energy generation plant and EV recharge stations in the state.

The two partners will initially set up a large-sized super hub in Samalkha, New Delhi, with 200 EV charging points. It will have a combination of AC and DC chargers and will support Evera consumers as well as other cab aggregators and individual EV owners.

The lack of standardized charging systems can create complications for EV owners. Different EV models may require specific charging systems, and a universal standard is crucial to ensure compatibility and ease of use.

Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd plans to convert 7,000 of its fuel stations into complete energy stations by equipping them with electric vehicle charging facilities by Dec. 2024.

Evos, an Australian startup specializing in electric-vehicle charging technology, has unveiled its first home chargers. The 7 kW wall-mounted devices are designed to add driving range to EVs for every hour they are plugged in.

The integrated power utility has collaborated with Siemens to develop the electric vehicle (EV) charging network. It has set up four EV charging stations in the Ahmedabad district of Gujarat initially and plans to cover more cities in the future.

Fortum Charge & Drive India has unveiled its new brand identity ‘Glida’ signifying its commitment to delivering a seamless electric vehicle (EV) charging experience in India. Glida plans to increase the number of its EV charging points to 3,000 by 2025 from around 450 at present.    

Magenta Mobility has launched an electric vehicle (EV) charger that can charge 12 EVs simultaneously. The charger is especially suited for charge point operators, fleet operators, community parking bays, and residential complexes.
