The Solar Power Developers Association (SPDA) is now Sustainable Projects Developers Association (SPDA), representing solution providers across solar, wind, hybrid, battery energy storage systems, green hydrogen and green ammonia sectors.  

Waaree Renewable Q2 profit surges 124.18% YoY

Gensol Engineering Ltd will install and commission a 62 MW AC grid-interactive solar PV project along with the associated power evacuation system up to the designated substation in Maharashtra. The scope also includes five-year operation and maintenance support. The total project value is INR 302 crore (over $36 million).

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy reported that it secured EPC orders worth INR 2,640 crore ($317.21 million) in Q2 FY 2024. This is around 467% up from order inflows in Q1 FY 2024.

Husk Power secures $100+ million to fund new solar minigrids in Africa and South Asia  

Husk Power Systems (Husk) has raised over $100 million in equity and debt to fund its new solar minigrid projects in South Asia and Africa. The company said the new capital would support 1,400 new minigrids, around 300,000 new connections, and avoid 350,000 tonnes of CO2 from the displacement of diesel generation while adding 2,500 new direct jobs.

AmpIn Energy, Jupiter form 1.3 GW solar cell and module manufacturing venture 

AmpIn Energy Transition, a renewable energy developer with 3 GWp of project portfolio, has joined hands with Jupiter International Ltd to set up a 1.3 GW per annum solar cell and module manufacturing facility under the government’s production-linked incentives (PLI) scheme.

SECI launches 2 GW wind-solar hybrid tender

Solar Energy Corp. of India Ltd (SECI) is accepting bids to set up 2 GW of interstate transmission grid-connected wind-solar hybrid power projects anywhere in India. The successful bidders will develop the projects on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis. Bidding closes on Dec. 4.
