Union Minister for Steel and Heavy Industries H. D. Kumaraswamy visited AMPIN Energy Transition’s 5 MW ground-mounted solar power plant at the Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) facility in Haridwar.
The 5 MW ground-mounted solar power plant, comprising more than 11,000 solar modules, is expected to generate around 9 million units of electricity per year, while contributing to emissions reduction and delivering substantial operational cost savings.
AMPIN Energy Transition has a renewable energy portfolio of around 6 GWp across 23 states in India. Headquartered in New Delhi, it has regional offices in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata.
The company operates a mix of solar, wind, and energy storage assets, supplying power to utility and commercial and industrial (C&I) consumers.
In addition to renewable energy generation, AMPIN is involved in energy trading, solar cell and module manufacturing, green hydrogen, and energy storage. It is backed by leading institutional investors from Europe, Asia and North America.
