Eastman Auto & Power today announced that it has operationalized an 800 MW solar PV module manufacturing facility in Sonipat, Haryana.

The new facility positions the company as a backward integrated solar solutions provider, offering end-to-end capabilities across solar PV modules, grid-tie, off-grid and hybrid inverters, and advanced energy storage batteries.

The company said that all solar modules manufactured at the Sonipat facility are fully compliant with domestic content requirement (DCR) norms and standards set by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), ensuring eligibility for government-supported solar programmes.

“Our focus is on building a strong domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem under the Make in India vision while driving adoption of integrated ‘Solar with Storage’ solutions that deliver reliability and energy independence,” said Shekhar Singal, managing director, Eastman Auto & Power Ltd. “By combining high-quality solar manufacturing with advanced energy storage systems, we aim to provide energy solutions that enable faster rooftop solar adoption under initiatives like PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and create long-term value for customers and the clean energy ecosystem.”
