GREW Solar gets ALMM approval for 3 GW G12R modules, targets 11 GW capacity by 2026

GREW Solar has received Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) approval from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) for 3 GW of G12R solar module manufacturing capacity at its Dudu facility in Rajasthan.

The approved capacity comprises bifacial n-type TOPCon modules with efficiencies of up to 23.14%. Inclusion in the ALMM makes the modules eligible for deployment in government-supported, open access, and net metering solar projects in India.

“The ALMM approval for 3 GW of G12R manufacturing capacity validates that the module meets rigorous quality and performance standards and makes it eligible for deployment in government mandated and utility-scale solar projects across the country,” stated the company.

GREW Solar said its G12R high-power series modules offer output power of up to 635 W. According to the company, the modules can reduce total module count by 6% to 8% per MW, thus helping lower structure, cabling, and land requirements while improving installation timelines and overall EPC efficiency. The modules’ optimized cell layout and enhanced mechanical strength enable 6–7% higher container power density and 1.5-3% higher power per square meter compared to standard TOPCon modules.

GREW Solar, a venture of the Chiripal Group, operates a 6.5 GW PV module manufacturing plant in Dudu, Rajasthan, with plans to scale to 11 GW by the end of 2026. It is also setting up an 8 GW solar PV cell facility in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh. The company manufactures high-efficiency n-type TOPCon solar modules on G12R and M10 platforms, designed for reliable performance across utility, commercial, industrial, and rooftop projects.
