Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL), an arm of Tata Power, today announced that it has commissioned 10 GW of EPC projects to date. The commissioned capacity includes 9.7 GW of solar and 290 MW of wind projects, comprising 4.2 GW of in-house projects and 5.8 GW of third-party projects.
In the first nine months of FY26, TPREL commissioned 1.88 GW of EPC renewable energy capacity, a 33% increase over the 1.4 GW commissioned during the same period in FY25.
Of the total 1.88 GW, 1,329 MW of solar projects were completed for third-party clients, while 546 MW were in-house projects (187 MW wind and 359 MW solar). These projects were executed across multiple sites in five states under challenging soil and climatic conditions.
In Q3 FY26, TPREL commissioned 941 MW of renewable energy projects, marking its highest-ever quarterly addition and a 139% increase over the 393 MW installed in Q3 FY25. Notable projects commissioned during the quarter included DCR-compliant solar projects for NHPC, NLC, and SJVNL in Bikaner, Rajasthan, as well as a 187 MW wind project in Karur, Tamil Nadu.
TPREL’s total utility-scale operational capacity now stands at 6.0 GW, comprising 4.8 GW of solar and 1.2 GW of wind. The company also plans to commission an additional 0.75 GW of its utility-owned capacity during FY26.
