IPO-bound SAEL Industries Ltd (SAEL), a vertically integrated renewable power producer, has commissioned a 1 GWp (800 MW AC) solar power plant at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat, the world’s largest renewable energy park. The project was commissioned through its subsidiaries, SAEL Solar P4 Pvt Ltd and SAEL Solar P5 Pvt Ltd.

The projects will supply power under 25-year long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL), providing long-term revenue visibility. The plant has been developed using more than 1.5 million TOPCon bifacial solar modules, over 60% of which were assembled at SAEL’s manufacturing facilities in Punjab and Rajasthan.

“Spanning almost 3,600 acres near India’s western frontier, these projects demonstrate SAEL’s project execution and engineering capacities in a challenging terrain with saline soil and seasonal flooding, where parts of the site remain under nearly a meter of water during peak rainy season,” stated the company.

SAEL Industries operates across agri waste-to-energy (WTE), utility-scale solar power generation, and solar module manufacturing. As of Sep. 2025, the company had 8,299.51 MWp of contracted and awarded solar capacity under the independent power producer (IPP) model, 3,625 MW of TOPCon solar module assembly capacity, and 164.9 MW of agri WTE capacity.

SAEL is also developing an integrated manufacturing facility in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, with planned capacities of 5 GW for solar cells and 5 GW for solar modules.
