Waaree Energies, India’s largest solar PV module manufacturer and a fully integrated renewable energy company, today announced that its high-efficiency solar PV cells have been included in the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-II for Solar PV Cells.

As per the 3rd Revision of ALMM List-II, notified by MNRE on December 15, 2025, Waaree’s advanced solar cell manufacturing facility located at Degam, Chikhli, Navsari (Gujarat) has been enlisted with a total approved capacity of 5.25 GW per annum. This includes 3,923 MW of n-type TOPCon cells and 1,328 MW of p-type PERC bifacial cells.

“ALMM List-II inclusion for our solar cells is a critical step in strengthening domestic backward integration across India’s solar value chain,” said Sunil Rathi, Executive Director, Waaree. “While Waaree is already the largest in scale, this milestone reinforces our position at the forefront of solar cell technology. By scaling high-efficiency TOPCon and PERC cell manufacturing in India, we are reducing import dependence while providing developers and EPCs greater certainty on quality, supply continuity, and policy compliance.”

The listing significantly strengthens Waaree’s position as a fully integrated cell-to-module supplier to developers and EPC providers. It builds on Waaree’s existing presence in ALMM List-I for solar modules.

Founded in 1990, Waaree Energies operates advanced manufacturing facilities with a total solar PV module capacity of 22.3 GW worldwide and a solar cell capacity of up to 5.4 GW. With a strong footprint across India and over 25 countries, Waaree offers a comprehensive portfolio spanning solar panels and inverters manufacturing, EPC services, green hydrogen solutions, battery energy storage systems, green energy infrastructure, and data centres.
