Kosol Energie, a Gujarat-based solar module manufacturer and EPC player, has announced a collaboration with Mafatlal Industries Ltd. (MIL) for the installation of a 4 MWp (DC) ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant at its Nadiad unit for captive consumption.

Upon successful implementation, the solar power plant is expected to deliver significant savings in power costs for the manufacturing facility. The transition will substantially reduce dependence on conventional grid electricity and support Mafatlal’s long-term sustainability roadmap, enabling the company to lower its operational carbon footprint and contribute meaningfully to India’s renewable energy goals.

Designed to significantly reduce grid dependence, the plant is estimated to generate approximately 6.5 million units of clean energy annually.

Kosol Energie provides end-to-end solutions across utility-scale, commercial and industrial (C&I), residential, and agricultural segments. The company has executed 2.5 GW of projects in the utility and C&I sectors and has installed more than 40,000 on-grid and off-grid solar systems. Its in-house capabilities include PV module and component manufacturing, while its services span solar park development, battery energy storage systems (BESS), floating and ground-mounted installations, and rooftop solar solutions.

Kosol Energie is currently executing several major assignments, including a 250 MW solar project for NLC India Ltd. in Tamil Nadu, a 145 MW project for Coal India Ltd., and 109 MW of installations under the PM-KUSUM Yojana.
