Bondada Group, Adani enter five-year partnership for solar projects

Bondada Group has entered into a long-term partnership with Adani Group for the design and construction of solar projects. The framework agreement for the partnership was signed recently by the two companies. The framework will be in place for the next five years to guide the collaboration between Bondada Engineering Ltd (BEL) and AGEL in solar energy.

As the first major project under this strategic partnership, BEL was recently awarded an order for 650 MW of solar projects by AGEL. This marks the beginning of a significant pipeline of joint development initiatives that will unfold under this strategic partnership.

“This agreement strengthens the partnership between our companies as we work together toward Bharat’s renewable energy goals. We will bring together the best practices of both organisations to make formidable strides toward meeting our commitment towards nation’s clean energy objectives,” said Bondada Raghavendra Rao, CMD of Bondada Group.

Adani Group is developing the world’s largest renewable energy plant, by transforming the vast barren expanse of Khavda in Kutch district into a 30 GW renewable energy powerhouse under the Government of India’s RE Mission. Bondada Group has been selected as the Group’s strategic design and construction partner for this project.

This agreement reinforces Bondada Engineering’s rapid strides in the renewable energy sector. The company recently surpassed a key milestone with the commissioning of 1 GW of solar energy capacity. It has 1.8 GW projects currently under execution and an additional 2.5 GW orders in hand, in addition to 2 GW IPP projects in Andhra Pradesh.
