JSW Energy commissions 74 MW solar, 11 MW wind power capacity

JSW Energy Ltd today announced that it has successfully commissioned 85 MW of renewable energy capacity, with solar capacity of 74 MW (Including part of NHPC’s hybrid project) and wind capacity of 11 MW.

The latest addition takes JSW Energy’s cumulative installed capacity to 13,295 MW. The share of renewables in the overall capacity stands at 57% constituting wind capacity at 3,720 MW, solar capacity at 2,286 MW and hydro capacity at 1,631 MW.

JSW Energy has total locked-in generation capacity of 30.5 GW comprising 13.3 GW operational and 12.5 GW under-construction across thermal and renewable, in addition to 150 MW under-acquisition hydro and a pipeline of 4.6 GW. The company also has 29.4 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity through hydro pumped storage projects of 26.4 GWh and battery energy storage system of 3.0 GWh. The company aims to reach 30 GW generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by FY 2030 and achieve Carbon Neutrality by 2050.
