Juniper Green Energy has successfully commissioned around 64 MWp of new renewable energy capacity across two key projects in Gujarat and Maharashtra. This includes a 28 MWp wind power project in Gujarat and a 36 MWp solar component of a hybrid power project in Maharashtra.
In Gujarat, Juniper Green Energy commissioned 28 MW of wind power capacity from its 70 MW wind power project in Devbhumi Dwarka, through its subsidiary Juniper Green Kite. This capacity was brought online around four months ahead of its Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD). Juniper Green Kite entered into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL) for the entire 70 MW wind project on February 8, 2024.
In Maharashtra, the company commissioned the 36 MWp solar component of its 133 MWp hybrid power project in Nanded district, through its subsidiary Juniper Green Spark Ten. This plant was commissioned 13 months ahead of schedule. Juniper Green Spark Ten has executed a PPA with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd. (MSEDCL).
Commenting on the development, Ankush Malik, CEO, Juniper Green Energy, said, “The dual commissioning across Gujarat and Maharashtra, completed months ahead of schedule, is a testament to our execution capabilities and commitment to speedy delivery.”
