AB Energia enters solar structure manufacturing

AB Energia, an end-to-end solar EPC solutions provider in India, has entered manufacturing of high-performance fixed-tilt steel structures with the launch of its subsidiary, AVIISII Electric Systems.

The company said steel mounting structures typically constitute about 7–8% of total EPC costs, equivalent to INR 18-20 lakh per MWp. By internalizing their manufacturing, AB Energia looks to gain competitive edge with improved supply timelines and cost control.

Beyond serving AB Energia’s EPC projects, AVIISII will supply to third-party contractors, creating a new business avenue while enhancing profitability.

“In a solar power plant, steel mounting structures are the foundation that determines the plant’s longevity, safety, and performance. If the structure is not engineered to precise standards, it can compromise panel alignment, reduce energy yield, and even cause catastrophic damage under extreme weather,” said Siddharth Bhatia, managing director, ABEnergia Solutions. “With AVIISII, we bring this critical component under our direct control, ensuring the highest quality materials, precision engineering, and durability that can withstand decades of wind, rain, and temperature fluctuations.”
