SAEL Industries Ltd., an integrated renewable energy company, has commissioned its first solar power project in Rajasthan with a capacity of 200 MW AC (298 MW DC).

Located in the Jalore district, the solar project spans over 1,000 acres. It benefits from a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Ltd (RUVITL) at an electricity tariff of INR 2.61 per kWh.

Over 80% of the solar modules installed at the solar plant are sourced from SAEL’s solar module manufacturing facility in Kishangarh, Rajasthan. The project utilizes advanced TOPCon PV modules featuring 146-cell and 156-cell configurations with peak outputs of up to 635 Wp and efficiency of up to 22.95%.

The project was commissioned on Aug. 17 2025, ahead of its scheduled commercial operation date. “We thank the Government of Rajasthan and other agencies who supported us in getting timely approvals and resolving on-ground execution challenges seamlessly,” said Laxit Awla, director, SAEL Industries Ltd. “The project holds importance for us because it is the largest solar power project developed by SAEL that is connected to a State Transmission Utility.”

The project’s strategic location provides seamless transmission connectivity and grid integration, while minimizing transmission losses.

SAEL Industries Ltd has a portfolio of 7.7 GW (DC) solar projects across India under Independent Power Producer (IPP) category, 3.5 GW of TOPCon solar module assembly capacity and 165 MW of agri waste-to-energy projects. The company is also setting up an integrated 5 GW solar cell and module manufacturing facility in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
