Jaiprakash Power Ventures mulls 50 MW solar plant at Bina thermal site

Jaiprakash Power Ventures’ Board of Directors has considered a proposal to explore the possibility of setting up a solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant with an approximate capacity of 50 MW at its existing thermal power project site in Bina, Madhya Pradesh. The estimated investment for the proposed PV plant is around INR 300 crore.

The company, which is engaged in thermal and hydro power generation, coal mining, and cement grinding, is also evaluating opportunities to venture into renewable energy generation, including solar power.
