Adani Green Energy commissions 50 MW solar-wind hybrid power project at Khavda

Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) announced today that its step-down arm Adani Renewable Energy Three Ltd has commissioned a 50 MW solar-wind hybrid power project at Khavda, Gujarat.

With commissioning of this plant, AGEL’s total operational renewable generation capacity has increased to 15,865.5 MW.

“Based on the relevant clearances, it was decided at 7.29 a.m. on August 08, 2025 to commission the plant from August 08, 2025,” stated AGEL in a stock exchange filing.

AGEL is developing the world’s largest renewable energy plant of 30 GW on the barren waste land at Khavda. Built across 538 sq kms, it is five times the size of Paris and almost as large as Mumbai city. Upon completion, it will be the world’s largest power plant across all energy sources.

AGEL reported a consolidated net profit of INR 824 crore for the first quarter of FY 2025-26, up 31% year-on-year (YoY) from INR 629 crore in Q1 FY 2025.

Consolidated total revenue increased 29% YoY to INR 4,006 crore, comprising INR 3,312 crore from power supply, INR 429 crore from sale of goods/equipment and related services, with the balance from other income.
