NHPC tenders 1.2 GW solar in Uttar Pradesh

NHPC Ltd, on behalf of Bundelkhand Saur Urja Ltd (BSUL), has launched a tender to select developers for setting up 1.2 GW solar power plants (4×300 MW) in Jalaun Solar Power Park of Uttar Pradesh. BSUL is a joint venture of NHPC Ltd and Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA).

The project site is located into two distinct locations, Madhogarh location in Tehsil Madhogarh, and Orai location in Tehsil Orai, both in Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh.

The selected developer will construct the CTUIL connected solar plant capacity awarded to him in the area provided by BSUL, on a build-own-operate basis. The BSUL shall enter into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the solar power generator and also enter into a power sale agreement (PSA) with the end procurer.

Commissioning period is 18 months from the signing of the PPA.
