Tata Power Renewables installs 45,500 rooftop solar systems with 220 MW capacity in Q1 FY26

Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power, has installed a record 45,589 rooftop solar plants with a total capacity of 220 MW in Q1 FY26. This marks a remarkable 416% year-on-year growth from 8,838 installations in Q1 FY25.

With this achievement, TPREL has crossed the milestone of over 2 lakh rooftop solar installations, bringing its cumulative installed capacity to 3.4 GW.

“By accelerating rooftop solar installations, TPREL is actively supporting the Government’s vision to boost solar adoption under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana through its flagship Ghar Ghar Solar campaign,” stated TPREL. “Delivering tailored solar rooftop solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, TPREL is playing a vital role in advancing India’s energy security and sustainability ambitions.”

TPREL’s pan-India presence is driven by a robust network of 604 channel partners spanning over 400 cities, complemented by 240 authorized service partners across 560 cities, ensuring seamless service and support nationwide.

The company’s customer base of over 2 lakh includes more than 1.8 lakh residential users.

TPREL is also strategically expanding its footprint in solar manufacturing with a capacity of 4.3 GW for cells and modules in India.
