NTPC commissions 409 MW of solar capacity in Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat

NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC REL) has successfully commissioned the remaining 120 MW of its 220 MW Shajapur Solar Project (Unit-II), making the entire unit fully commercially operational. The project was secured at a tariff of INR 2.33/kWh in Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Ltd’s auction for 450 MW capacity at the Shajapur Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh.

In Gujarat, NTPC REL has achieved two key milestones at its Khavda Solar Projects. It has commissioned the initial 142.2 MW of its 300 MW Khavda Solar Energy Project located in Bhuj. Additionally, it has begun commercial operations of a 146.7 MW segment from the massive 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project.
