Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Viet Khanh Joint Stock Company to execute a 100 MWp solar PV power project on a turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis in Vietnam. The project will be located in Ea Mdrod commune in Cư M’gar district of Daklak province.

This marks the second collaboration between Waaree Group and Viet Khanh, following the successful commissioning of a 49.5 MW project in Cam Ranh province in 2019.

Waaree’s scope of work includes design, engineering, construction, testing, commissioning, and grid connection of the solar power plant. It also includes the supply of PV modules and transmission infrastructure.

“Waaree Group’s 49.5 MW solar project delivered in 2018–19 remains one of the highest-performing solar installations in Vietnam to date. This unmatched performance and professionalism form the foundation of our renewed trust. We are pleased to extend our collaboration with Waaree for this 100 MWp project and look forward to building one of the most efficient clean energy assets in the region,” said Dinh Xuan Hai Sang, Chairman, Viet Khanh Joint Stock Company.

“We are honored to deepen our partnership with Viet Khanh through this landmark 100 MWp solar project. This collaboration reflects Waaree Group’s strong reputation for delivering high-performance, bankable solar infrastructure globally. Our commitment to quality, sustainability, and energy transition aligns perfectly with Vietnam’s national energy vision,” said Viren Doshi, Executive Director, Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd.

Waaree, India’s largest solar module manufacturer with over 20 GW deployed across 20+ countries, brings end-to-end expertise from module manufacturing to EPC execution to the project.

Once operational, the 100 MWp solar project is expected to offset more than 130,000 metric tons of CO₂ emissions annually, equivalent to planting over 2 million trees each year. Beyond reducing fossil fuel dependence, the project will improve air quality, preserve biodiversity, and serve as a scalable model for clean energy deployment across rural and semi-urban Vietnam.

Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd, a subsidiary of Waaree Group, leads the Group’s Solar EPC business. The Group has successfully installed over 10,000 solar projects with a cumulative capacity exceeding 2.32 GW. As a solar developer, Waaree also finances, constructs, owns, and operates solar projects, offering clean energy solutions through both on-site (rooftop and ground-mounted) and off-site (open access) solar installations.
