Evolve Energy has secured a turnkey EPC contract for a 5 MW rooftop solar project to power sustainable government infrastructure in Pondicherry.
The project, tendered by the Pondicherry Electricity Board (PEB) and facilitated by the Solar Energy Corp. of India (SECI), involves the installation of rooftop solar systems across various government buildings.
As part of the contract, Evolve Energy will deploy solar systems on facilities including secretariats, courts, hospitals, educational institutions, and other administrative buildings, with design and installation tailored to each site.
With minimal operational disruption, the company aims to seamlessly integrate renewable energy into Pondicherry’s essential public infrastructure services.
Evolve Energy Group will execute end-to-end EPC from site surveys and customized system design to final commissioning and long-term operations and maintenance.
Post commissioning, the rooftop solar installations are expected to generate approximately 7,000 MWh of clean electricity annually—delivering significant carbon emission reductions and energy cost savings for the public sector.
