Waaree Energies was the leading module supplier in Q1 2025, contributing around 17.3% of total shipments in India, according to the latest JMK Research report.
In Q1 2025, about 12.5 GW of solar modules were shipped in India by 24 domestic and international players. While domestic manufacturers contributed 89.9%, the rest was supplied by international players.

In Q1 2025, India installed 5.93 GW of utility-scale solar capacity—a 12.2% increase over the previous quarter. Quarterly rooftop solar installations reached 1.34 GW, propelled by robust policy support and residential rooftop solar subsidy scheme PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
India’s cumulative solar capacity stood at 105.6 GW as of March 2025, maintaining its status as the largest contributor to the nation’s renewable energy mix.

In Q1 2025, Waaree’s export shipments more than doubled compared to the previous quarter.
Headquartered in Mumbai, Waaree Energies operates state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities with an installed capacity of 15 GW for solar PV modules globally (including 1.3 GW of Indosolar and 1.6 GW in Texas, USA). The company also has 1.4 GW of cell manufacturing facility with an expansion capacity up to 5.4 GW.
