Websol Energy System Ltd, a leading solar cell and module manufacturer in India, has reported revenue from operations of INR 575.5 crore for FY 2025, a significant increase from INR 25.9 crore in FY 2024. The company has posted a net profit (PAT) of INR 154.70 crore in FY 2025, compared to a loss of INR 121 crore in the previous fiscal year.
Revenue from operations for Q4 FY 2025 stood at INR 173 crore, up from INR 24.9 crore in Q4 FY 2024. The company reported a net profit of INR 48.3 crore for the quarter, compared to a loss of INR 58.6 crore in the same period last year.
Websol Energy System operates a manufacturing facility in the Falta SEZ, West Bengal, equipped with a fully automated 600 MW mono PERC solar cell line and a 550 MW module production line. The company’s board of directors has approved the installation of an additional 600 MW mono PERC bifacial solar cell line, which is expected to commence production in Q1 FY 2026.
The company has secured significant orders for solar modules worth INR 62.3 crore, with shipments planned for the United States, United Kingdom, Africa, and India. Additionally, Websol has signed a 100 MW solar cell supply agreement with Luminous Power Technologies and a 250 MW solar module master-supply agreement with C.R.I. Pumps.
“Over the past year, Websol made significant progress as full-scale production resumed after upgrade to our 600 MW mono PERC bifacial solar cell line. This return to operations contributed to a 20x plus increase in revenue, reaching INR 575.5 crore, reflecting strong industry-wide demand for high-performance solar solutions across both Indian and International markets,” said Sohan Lal Agarwal, managing director of Websol Energy System Ltd. “This is reflected in the EBITDA margin of 44.2% and a PAT margin of 26.9%.”
Agarwal added, “The Indian solar industry continues to expand rapidly, supported by government policies and a strong push towards renewable energy adoption. Initiatives such as the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme and the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana are driving Indian manufacturing and rooftop solar adoption. This in turn creates opportunities for companies such as Websol that are focused on high-efficiency solar technology. With the country aiming for 280 GW of solar capacity by 2030, demand for advanced solar products is growing and Websol remains well-positioned to support this transition with its technology.”
