Uttar Pradesh launches 110 MW solar tender

Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has invited bids to develop 110 MW of grid-connected PV power capacity on a build-own-operate-maintain basis across two solar parks in the Kanpur region of Uttar Pradesh. The proposed solar capacity will come up at two sites: 35 MW (AC) in Kanpur Nagar Solar Park and 75 MW (AC) in Kanpur Dehat Solar Park. Both parks are being developed by Lucknow Solar Power Development Corp. Ltd, a joint venture between UPNEDA and the Solar Energy Corp. of India (SECI).

The whole capacity in each solar power park will be allocated to a single bidder.

Uttar Pradesh Power Corp. Ltd (UPPCL), on behalf of state discoms Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd, Poorvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd, Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd, and Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd, will enter into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the successful bidders for purchase of solar power for a period of 25 years.
