Solex Energy Ltd is setting up a new 2.2 GW solar module production line. With this new line becoming operational, the company’s total module manufacturing capacity will reach around 4 GW.

“The line will produce advanced TOPCon (glass-to-glass) panels by leveraging a highly automated production process that includes artificial intelligence and automated optical inspection-driven efficiencies and a state-of-the-art manufacturing execution system for real-time traceability and data analytics,” stated Solex Energy.

“With a cycle time of less than 16 seconds per module, this expansion is set to enhance productivity and quality at an unprecedented scale, significantly increasing our overall manufacturing capacity.”

Solex Energy recently announced an 80% revenue increase in FY 2023–24 and a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 110%. Under its Vision 2030 plan, Solex is exploring a new solar cell facility with an initial 2 GW capacity, scalable to 5 GW, and module manufacturing capacity of 15 GW. The targeted workforce growth is over 25,000.
