Premier Energies to set up new 1 GW TOPCon solar module facility by March 2025

Indian solar manufacturer Premier Energies has announced that the Board of Directors of its arm Premier Energies Global Environment has approved the establishment of a 1 GW TOPCon solar module manufacturing facility. This facility is expected to be completed by March 2025. Notably, Premier Energies is currently executing a 1 GW TOPCon cell line, which is also set for completion by March 2025.

The new 1 GW TOPCon module capacity will be located at EMC Maheeshwaram, Telangana, on leasehold premises owned by TGIIC (Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation). It is an addition to the 4 GW TOPCon integrated cell-module capacity that the company is establishing in Telangana, which is set for completion by FY 2027.

As on March 31, 2024, Premier Energies has 2 GW of annual installed capacity for cell manufacturing alongside its 4.13 GW of annual installed capacity for module manufacturing.
