Juniper Green Energy wins 150 MW in NTPC’s 1 GW wind-solar hybrid tender

Juniper Green Energy announced this week that it has secured 150 MW in NTPC’s 1 GW hybrid tender under the fifth tranche. It secured the capacity at a tariff of INR 3.43 ($0.041) per kWh.

As per the tender, the project is to be developed on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis. It can be located anywhere in India and must connect to the interstate transmission system.

Juniper Green Energy, based out of Delhi NCR, is an independent renewable energy power producer and operator of solar, wind and hybrid power projects. The company is part of the AT Group which has an asset portfolio worth of around $2.5 billion with global investments in renewable energy, residential and commercial real estate, hospitality etc. The Group has been building utility-scale renewable energy projects in India since 2010 and built and owned Orange Renewable, a 1 GW renewable energy platform in the past.
