Under the captive power production business segment, KPI develops, transfers, operates, and maintains grid-connected solar power projects for CPP customers. It generates revenue by selling these projects to CPP customers for their captive use requirements.

As of March 31, 2022, KPI commissioned 100+ MW of cumulative solar capacity as an independent power producer (IPP) and 65+ MW as a service provider to captive power producers.

The company aims for a cumulative IPP portfolio of 250 MW by 2025 and a CPP portfolio of 750 MW by 2025.
