NTPC Renewable Energy wins 1 GW in UPPCL’s solar PV auction

NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL), has secured 1 GW in Uttar Pradesh Power Corp. Ltd’s 2 GW solar PV project auction. It won the capacity at a tariff of INR 2.56/kWh in the e-reverse auction conducted by UPPCL.

As per the tender, the successful developers can set up PV projects anywhere in India provided these are connected to the interstate transmission system.
