RenewSys, a Mumbai-headquartered integrated PV module manufacturer, will start the production of TOPCon cells with the setting up of a 1 GW manufacturing unit by December 2026.

Currently, RenewSys has 1.85 GW of PV module capacity, including 1 GW mono PERC, 600 MW of TOPCon, and 250 MW of mono. It also has 5 GW of encapsulant and 4 GW of backsheets capacity.
The manufacturer will soon introduce mono DCR cells too. It has already set up 130 MW of mono DCR cell line, which has started sample production. The product will be commercially available from April 1, for KUSUM and rooftop solar applications.

Further, the company is adding 1 GW of TOPCon module capacity, which is scheduled to start production by April 2025. It plans to add another 2 GW of TOPCon solar module capacity by April 2026 and 2 GW of ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA)/polyolefin (POE)/EPE encapsulation film capacity by Dec. 2024.

At Intersolar India 2024, RenewSys is showcasing its Deserv Extreme series n-type TOPCon bifacial dual-glass modules with output up to 600 Wp and efficiency up to 23.26%. The modules’ temperature coefficient is -0.29% per degree celsius.
