BluPine Energy secures 25-year PPA with SJVN for 150 MW assured peak power project

BluPine Energy has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with SJVN Ltd for 150 MW of assured peak power capacity awarded under SJVN Green Energy’s FDRE-4 tender.

The developer had secured the capacity at a tariff of INR 6.74/kWh under SJVN Green Energy’s 1.5 GW firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) auction.

Under the tender, developers are required to set up a cumulative 1.5 GW of renewable energy projects coupled with energy storage systems for an assured peak-hour power supply of 6 GWh (1.5 GW x 4 hours) daily.

BluPine’s 150 MW project will supply firm renewable power during peak demand periods from 00:00 to 08:00 and from 17:00 to 24:00 under the long-term PPA, strengthening grid stability and enabling utilities to meet surging evening and morning demand through clean energy sources.
