Advait Energy Transitions Secures ₹250.59 Crore in Four Strategic PGVCL Projects to Accelerate Gujarat’s Underground Power Distribution Modernisation
Ahmedabad, July 10, 2026: Advait Energy Transitions Limited (formerly Advait Infratech Limited) has secured four turnkey contracts worth a combined ₹250.59 crore (inclusive of taxes) from Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL) for the conversion of existing overhead HT and LT electricity distribution networks into underground cable systems across key locations in Gujarat. The projects span Bhavnagar, Bhuj and Porbandar circles and are scheduled to be completed over 18 months.
Collectively, the four projects represent more than conventional underground cabling works. They include site survey, engineering, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, GIS Mapping/Geo Urja Mapping developed by GUVNL, Ring Main Systems and Asset Tagging, reflecting the growing shift towards digitally mapped and more resilient power distribution infrastructure.
The awards come at a time when utilities across India are increasingly prioritising the modernisation of distribution infrastructure alongside generation and transmission investments. Underground distribution systems improve network reliability, reduce weather-related outages, enhance public safety and create more resilient urban and industrial electricity networks. The integration of GIS-based asset mapping further enables utilities to improve network visibility, maintenance planning and future expansion.
Commenting on the development, Shalin Sheth, Founder and Managing Director, Advait Energy Transitions Limited, said:
“India’s power infrastructure is entering a new phase where distribution modernisation is becoming just as important as generation and transmission expansion. Underground cabling, digital asset mapping and intelligent network design are laying the foundation for safer, more reliable and future-ready electricity systems. Securing four strategic projects simultaneously reflects the confidence utilities place in our execution capabilities and our commitment to supporting India’s evolving power infrastructure.”
The projects will be executed across:
- Adhewada (Akwada), Bhavnagar Circle (Package 18)
- Mandvi-city, Bhuj Circle (Package 43)
- Ranavav, Porbandar Circle (Package 58)
- Udyognagar, Porbandar Circle (Package 61)
Each contract covers the complete turnkey scope, including design, engineering, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and documentation required for converting existing overhead HT and LT line networks into underground cable systems with Ring Main Systems under PGVCL’s SI Scheme.
The multiple project wins further strengthen Advait Energy Transitions’ presence in India’s power distribution sector while complementing its broader portfolio across power transmission, EPC, renewable energy infrastructure, battery energy storage systems and green hydrogen technologies. As utilities continue investing in smarter and more resilient electricity networks, integrated turnkey execution capabilities are expected to play an increasingly important role in supporting India’s long-term energy transition.
