Data Centres and the clean energy imperative: Powering India’s digital economy sustainably
India’s digital economy will ultimately be supported by physical systems: substations, transmission lines, renewable plants, batteries and control platforms. If these systems are planned with the same precision and urgency as the computing infrastructure they serve, data-centre growth can strengthen both economic competitiveness and the clean-energy transition.

Energy sector in spotlight as cyberattack threat grows
The age of convergence describes the rapid connectivity in recent years as information and operational technology have come together in unprecedented ways. These two environments were historically kept separate, but as energy companies have rapidly modernised their networks to improve service delivery, these two worlds have converged. The result is complex cyber-physical systems that are difficult to secure.
India’s solar ecosystem needs a new playbook for scale, quality, and reliability
The most difficult part in the solar industry is making sure that all the solar assets installed in recent times will continue to perform optimally for the next 25 years. There is no doubt that price-led procurement has made a big contribution in accelerating the adoption of solar power, but there is too much emphasis on minimizing the upfront cost, thus resulting in poor lifecycle performance of the solar systems.

PV life cycle assessment gets its most comprehensive data overhaul in more than a decade
IEA PVPS Task 12 has released a major update to the life cycle inventory data underpinning photovoltaic life cycle assessments, covering modern TOPCon and PERC silicon supply chains, CdTe modules, inverters, mounting systems, and updated reference installations. Based on 83 factory-level datasets and new simulation-based inventories, the report establishes a more comprehensive and current baseline for PV LCA, sustainability reporting, procurement, and environmental assessments.
How India can build a skilled workforce to power its clean energy future
Building India’s renewable energy workforce requires a combination of technical rigour, practical exposure, and purpose-driven engagement. By cultivating young, enthusiastic professionals ready to commit to the clean energy mission, India can accelerate RE deployment, close the skill gap, and chart a credible path toward a sustainable, net-zero energy future.
